The Vincent R. Terrill Lifetime Achievement Award has been established to recognize individuals who have provided exemplary service to the New England Railroad community. Vincent Terrill truly exemplified the values the Club wishes to honor and recognize and so we have named this award in his honor.
- Purpose: To recognize and honor outstanding railroaders who have advanced the industry throughout their careers with a focus on the New England Region, but also nationally or internationally. Honorees should reflect the ideals of service to the railroad industry in the region as demonstrated by Vincent R. Terrill.
- Established Award Criteria
- A long term commitment to railroading in New England.
- Development of significant contributions to the advancement of railroad services and operations.
- Model leadership and mentorship skills.
- Leadership in community and/or industry associations. (AREMA, APTA, etc.)
- Selection Process
- New England Railroad Club Awards Committee
- Reviews and discusses the criteria and initial list of possible candidates.
- Committee reviews membership rolls and other sources of nominee ideas.
- The candidate with the most votes and a vote from every committee member is nominated for consideration of the Executive Comittee.
